9-25-24 THOUGHTS
The God who rules ALL, judges righteously. David mentions several things that we ought to emulate: “I will give thanks”, “I will tell of all Your wonders”, “I will be glad and exult in You”, “I will sing praise to Your name”. Our forever Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed and the troubled. As we trust in God, we know that He will not forsake those who seek Him!
2Tim 4:8 “in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
Ps 9:1-10 I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. 2 I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. 3 When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You. 4 For You have maintained my just cause; You have sat on the throne judging righteously. 5 You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever. 6 The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins, And You have uprooted the cities; The very memory of them has perished. 7 But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, 8 And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity. 9 The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; 10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
My Prayer:
Father, we give You thanks with all of our heart. One day, You will bring right judgment to all who have ever lived. We thank You for Christ Jesus, Your grace and mercy and love toward us.
He is our salvation and confidence. We know that mercy triumphs over judgment. We long to be with You eternally, O wonderful God! In the name of our Savior, Amen.
